The support beam behind the chassis rail that sits under the fuel tank tray was in a pretty bad way too so out this comes ready for a new piece.

With the cross member ready, the top hat can be repaired and the cross member fitted.

A shocking repair to the rear outrigger and chassis covers a rather large horror story…..the scary thing is the bus is still technically MOT’d and road legal with structural rust like this….unfortunatley this is all too common……anyhoo, all the rust gets cut out the inside is treated and the necessary metalwork is replaced and finished ready for the outrigger.
